The Daily Stoic: 366 Meditations on Wisdom, Perseverance, and the Art of Living

“The Daily Stoic: 366 Meditations on Wisdom, Perseverance, and the Art of Living” by Ryan Holiday and Stephen Hanselman has been a treasured gift I received back in December 2020. Since then, I’ve turned to its pages intermittently, drawing on the timeless wisdom it encapsulates. Each page presents a quote from Stoic philosophers—Seneca, Epictetus, and Marcus Aurelius—followed by the authors’ interpretations, which illuminate the ancient texts for modern readers.

Inspired by this format, I began to pen my own reflections on select entries, creating a personal ritual of sorts. I schedule these musings as emails to myself for the same date in the following year, ensuring I revisit these insights regularly. This practice serves as a reminder to stay aligned with these principles and to monitor my progress or recalibrate as needed.

On this blog, I aim to share both my interpretations and the original passages that inspired them. While my primary goal is to create a personal repository of wisdom, I hope others might find value in these reflections. Regardless of its broader reception, this space will serve as a digital compendium of lessons learned and a testament to the ongoing journey of personal growth.

With that introduction, welcome to My Daily Stoic:
